MY SUPER EXCITING SUMMER

Why hello there

I think I should give everyone a life update. I have been picking up trash in the beautiful city of Grande Prairie for two whole weeks! Sometimes I pretend I'm doing community service for a crime that involved boat theft. I got a sunburn on my face every day this week.

I also found an 8mm film camera in my basement. Apparently it belonged to my Grandfather. It's a Yashica 8-EIII. It's pretty awesome, and I think it would still work if I can find 8mm film anywhere. It's pretty hard to come by since Super 8mm seems to have taken over the market. I found a few sites I might try to order from, but some of them look a little sketchy. Anybody have any suggestions for where I might be able to buy 8mm film?

  1. those are some wicked looking lenses. and the Hepburn posters in the background are great!
8mm film... hmmm.. maybe ebay?? don't know if the stock is still good though. it's been a while since regular 8mm has been made.
never worked with it myself, but i think it doesn't come in a light-tight cartridge like Super 8mm does, so you gotta get into loading in the dark.
if you want to shoot on Super 8mm, become a member at the Filmpool. i can rent you a simple camera for 50 cents a day or some deal like that. Kodak still sells Super 8mm. as a member, you can get it shipped for free right to your house.

thanks for the update! good to hear from you.
