Hello, Friends!

How is everyone who occasionally stops by to see if new content has been posted doing? I'm doing pretty swell myself, thanks.

I figured that perhaps I would write about how my summer is going, as Tessa and Derick have done, but I was holding it off cause I'm lazy and forgetful. Anywho, I sort of have a full plate this summer for a number of reasons:

A) I'm working full-time at an auto parts store as a shipper/reciever. The pay isn't the best but at least I get to drive around delivering stuff! Woo!

B) On weekends, my buddy and I are running a videography business through his mom's gift shop. So far, we've been booked for about 8 weddings, and we're just editing our first one. We bought two of these to film (well, slightly newer, but pretty much the same deal), so we're filming in 1080p, and it looks sexy.

C) Me and said friend have also begun writing a script for the first episode in a possible web-series. It's about two nerds who try to start businesses but fail miserably because they're socially inept and have no idea what they're doing. I'm also composing cheesy keyboard music for it. When we get around to completing the first episode, I'll slap it on here.

D) My band, Beef Dip (named after one of these), is trying to get some gigs around town (and by around town, I mean at the only two bars in Flin Flon, Manitoba), so in between all of the other crap that I previously mentioned, we've been writing music and learning covers in order to play a 2-hour show.

Shit's crazy, mang. Also, the members of the band drove an hour and a half to a town called The Pas the other day because we decided we wanted A&W, a commodity that Flin Flon once had but no longer does. We got there 2 minutes after they closed. So we went to Tim Horton's instead, because Flin Flon doesn't have one either, but were still dissatisfied by the lack of Teen Burgers there. Just a little story I felt was worth sharing.

And really, that's about all that's worth sharing. Nothing really happens in a town of 5,500 people.

But I vote more people should share what they're doing this summer. Keep the Film 208 blog alive!

That is all for now.

Love, Zach
